St Annes drinkers on Friday night witnessed a vicious brawl which left one man with his ear completely bitten off.  The ear was discovered by the doorman on the floor.

The incident occurred outside a licensed premises on St Annes Road West in St Annes.

Police are now investigating the assault.  The man whose ear can no longer be refitted remains in hospital getting treatment.

There is a pool of dried blood still on the floor where the fight occurred.
