Police Appeal after worrying van snatch incident

We are looking to identify and speak to several people following an incident where a woman was picked up and placed into a van in Blackpool.
Officers were called to Whitegate Drive at 11.05pm yesterday (April 13th) after a member of the public saw an interaction between several people including a woman which lasted for a number of minutes. The woman was then carried into a van.
We are currently investigating the incident and need identify all parties involved as soon as possible.
Nobody has been arrested at this time.
DI Jamie Lillystone, of Blackpool CID, said: “We are at the early stages of our investigation and our priority is identifying all parties involved. I would ask that anybody involved in this interaction or anybody with information which could assist our enquiries to contact the police as soon as possible.
“I know the public might be concerned by this well-intended report by the member of the public, but I would urge caution until we get a fuller picture of what has taken place.
“As we would do with any report of this nature, we have a dedicated team of detectives working on this investigation. However, I would like to re-iterate that we are keeping an open mind as to the nature of the interaction.”
