Police appeal for witnesses after a man is savagely attacked in St Anne’s

APPEAL | Can you help police identify this man following a serious assault in St Annes?

Around 11.30pm on April 14, a man in his 60s was walking on The Crescent when there was an altercation with another man.

The victim was then attacked, suffering a fractured cheek bone and eye socket which later required surgery at hospital. The attacker made off from the scene.

Following CCTV enquiries we want to speak to this man, pictured, in connection with our investigation.

He is described as white, balding and was wearing a white shirt, shiny black gilet, black trousers and black shoes.

Det Con Mark Whittle, of Blackpool CID, said: “The victim has been left with some shocking injuries and we want to find the person responsible.

“I am asking for the public’s help in identifying the man, or urging him to come forward and speak with us.”
