Blackpool Police issue a statement and appeal 👇

We are aware of speculation on social media regarding an incident which occurred in Blackpool last night and we just wanted to give you the latest update.
Police were called by the ambulance service at about 9.30pm yesterday (March 29th) to a report of a stabbing at an address on Dinmore Avenue in Blackpool. Officers attended and sadly a woman in her 40s was found dead inside the address.
A man aged 62 was arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder and remains in custody.
An investigation has been launched and enquiries are ongoing.
