Bobby Ball Foundation unites with Fylde Council to provide aid to Ukraine 🇺🇦

There’s a collection point in Lytham this weekend. 👇

Dear People of the Fylde Coast!

Our group of volunteers “Fylde Aid for Ukraine” with the support of the Bobby Ball Foundation (Charity Registration No. 1193504) is raising funds and organising the collection of specific items for the Ukrainian refugees that continue to arrive in Poland.

Since the invasion of Ukraine began on 24 February, as of today, 450,000 refugees have arrived in Poland. Polish families opened their hearts, inviting many Ukrainian families into their own homes. Poland has also set up many refugees camps. As the days go by, there is more refugees arriving daily and the rest centres are very busy. Regardless of where the refugees are, they all need our help. They have fled their homes with what little they could carry and rely on the support of kind-hearted people to donate what they can.

With the help of financial aid, we can provide targeted support to where is needed most. All funds raised through the Bobby Ball Foundation via the dedicated below link will be targeted for the direct support of refugees. We will keep you updated, once key milestones are reached, on where the funds have been directed to.

Please contribute to the cause here on JustGiving

We have also reached out to our friends in Poland to check what physical items they are in urgent need of. They have had huge support from within Poland, hence items you might expect they would need, are no longer required. Therefore, we have combined a list of specific items (see below) and with the support of the Fylde Borough Council and our volunteers, we are organising a collection during the first weekend in March.

We respect your goodwill and we apologise for being very prescriptive, but in doing so we will be collecting what is required. We except that some of the items will be distributed by the Polish Humanitarian Aid to Ukraine too.

If you would like to assist us in this way, we will be at the Lytham Institute in Lytham on ️⃣Saturday 5th March and Sunday 6th March between the hours of 10 am – 4 pm️⃣, where you can drop off your donations.

The specific list of required items is noted below.

It’s hard to even begin to imagine what the people of Ukraine are going through, having to flee their homes in a hurry and in fear for their lives leaving their belongings and loved ones behind!
Let’s do what we do best as a community and help those who need us most!

Please share this post with your friends and family, so that we can reach as many people as possible.

On behalf of Lytham St.Annes News page, please share and donate if you can. Thank you. 🇺🇦💙💛

  1. Hi. I am a colleague who works at Asda Blackpool. I have been asked by colleagues if we can help I am arranging for a trolley for colleagues to be able to donate. Would you be able to pick up or let me know where to drop off please

  2. Fylde Amnesty group is holding an event on 21st April at The Pavilion in St. Anne’s; it is a quiz night with hot supper. The RAFFLE proceeds will go to your Fylde Support for Ukraine appeal.

Can I send you a poster for you to advertise this event. Better still, can you buy tickets for a team to join in the quiz?
Thank you and keep up the good work.
