A true loss to the community.

We are deeply saddened to hear that Mrs Barbara Thompson, a director of Blackpool Pleasure Beach, has passed away.

Barbara, aged 82, was the widow of the late Geoffrey Thompson whose grandfather founded the Pleasure Beach. Following his death in 2004 she continued to play an active role at the Pleasure Beach.

Our thoughts are with her children Amanda, Nick and Fiona and the whole Pleasure Beach family.
