Ex-King Edward VII School Student Appointed Boris’ New Chief Of Staff

Ex-King Edward VII student, 49-year-old MP Steve Barclay, was yesterday appointed the PM’s Chief of Staff. (King Edward VII School merged with Arnold School in 2012 to form AKS Lytham).

No.10 said Barclay (who is MP for North East Cambridgeshire) will be ‘in charge of integrating the new Office of the Prime Minister and the Cabinet Office, driving the Government’s agenda more efficiently and ensuring it is better aligned with the Cabinet and backbenchers.’

Mr Barclay said, ‘It is an honour to have been asked by the Prime Minister to serve as Chief of Staff for No10 Downing Street alongside my responsibilities in the Cabinet Office. I am looking forward to working with the PM, ministers and parliamentary colleagues on the issues that matter most to our country.’

Not everyone was pleased with the appointment.  Dominic Cumming’s Tweeted, ‘So our new boss is a pro-remain lobbyist who’s said the PM is ‘sexually incontinent’, ‘hugely divisive’, ‘destructive’, ‘dragging the country down’ and picked ‘wrong side in referendum’ GREAT.
