Famed For The ‘Fokker’ Interview, Comedian Stan Boardman Appears Tomorrow At The Lowther

Comedian Stan Boardman will be facing the spotlight at the Lowther Pavilion tomorrow (Friday 3rd December). His legendary interview with Des O’Connor which featured the infamous ‘Fokker’ incident is still replayed on a host of ‘famous TV moments’ compilation shows (pictured below).

The Lowther unscripted show will be unique and entertaining as Liverpool born Stan will document his struggles and successes. The show will consist of his stand-up routines, archive clips on the big screen of hit show ‘The Comedians’ on Granada TV, that was watched by over 15 million viewers each week and spawned the likes of Frank Carson, Roy Walker, Mick Miller, Jim Bowen, Bernard Manning, Bobby Knutt, Ken Goodwin, Mike Reid, Stu Francis, Charlie Williams and many more. No doubt the ‘Fokker’ incident from Des O Connor show, and an interactive chat with the audience who will be able to pose questions to Stan. Recent TV appearances include BBC1’s Can’t Cook Won’t Cook, Channel 4’s Kings of Comedy, Celebrity Wife Swap and Celebrity Coach Trip.

Stan will be celebrating his 84th birthday next week, on Tuesday 7th December.
