Drew Thompson, of Thompson & Hardwick Optometrists in Lytham, has won an award for his dedication to the covid cause this year.

Drew and his team supplied over 1500 face shields across the Fylde Coast, to schools. care homes and front-line workers.

The task took over 11 weeks and all the face masks were provided FREE OF CHARGE.

The team funded the majority of the project by raising money through crowd-funding, however Drew provided part of the financial outlay himself.

Drew and his team have received many thanks and congratulations from the grateful community of Lytham St Annes.
