Local teenage boy flown to hospital with head injuries after falling from roof of Blackpool hotel

A Blackpool teenager has reportedly been flown to hospital by air ambulance after falling from the roof of a hotel yesterday (8th December).

The 13 year old boy was taken to Alder Hey Children’s hospital where he received treatment for a serious head injury as well as facial injuries.

The reason for his fall is currently under investigation, it is not yet clear how it happened.

The boy fell from the roof of a hotel on Albert Road, emergency services were seen around the Comedy Carpet yesterday afternoon as the boy was recovered.

A spokesperson for police said: “We were called at around 3.05pm yesterday (Tuesday, December 8th) to reports thata teenage boy had fallen from the roof of a hotel on Albert Road, Blackpool.

“Emergency services, including the air ambulance, attended and the boy, 13, who was taken to Alder Hey Children’s Hospital for treatment.

“He has suffered serious head and facial injuries, as well as a number of suspected fractures and is in a serious but stable condition.

“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the exact circumstances and the HSE has been informed.”
