Lytham St Anne’s Businesses That Provide On–Site Services Must Legally Display An Official NHS QR Test & Trace Poster From Tomorrow (24.09.2020)

Do you run a business in Lytham St. Anne’s that provides on-site services? Here is a reminder that if you do you must display an official NHS QR code Test & Trace poster from tomorrow (Thursday 24 September 2020) so that customers and visitors can ‘check in’ using this option as an alternative to providing their contact details.

The law states that providers of on-site services must:

  • print the poster
  • display the poster somewhere visitors can see it and scan it when they arrive (for example next to the entrance)
  • ask visitors to scan the QR code when they arrive, using their NHS COVID-19 app
  • display as many posters as you need to, to avoid queues forming

This legal requirement includes hospitality, close contact services and leisure/tourism/heritage venues.

Hospitality venues include restaurants, cafes, workplace canteens, bars, including bars in hotels and pubs.

Close contact services include barbers, hairdressers, beauticians, nail bars, massage therapists, tattooists and dress fitters.

Leisure/tourism/heritage venues include amusement arcades, casinos, hotels, B&B, camp sites, public libraries, museums, historic houses and galleries.

For all these settings providing on-site services, displaying the NHS QR code poster is enforceable by law and fixed penalty notices will apply.
