A Major accident has occurred on the eastbound link between M55 junction 1 (Preston, A6) and M6 junction 32 (Broughton Interchange) involving several cars, vans and lorries. Bits of debris from smashed vehicles lay in the road, which has been blocked off by emergency services. There is reportedly an oil spill that the emergency services are handling.

This occurred at 9.00 this morning (Monday 30th November)

The accident has caused massive delays, with traffic jams all up the M6 and M55, causing chaos this morning for commuters on their way into work. See the video below.
