Major Trade Union Rally In Blackpool To Coincide With Tory’s Spring Conference

With energy bills and other costs rocketing but wages falling, the Trade Union movement is inviting workers to stand together to demand action on pay and the cost of living.  A march is planned to take place in Blackpool on Saturday 19 March 2022 as the Conservative party hold their Spring Conference.

The Trade Union Movement’s message to the Government is that It’s time to raise the minimum wage to a real living wage – and give a proper pay rise to public servants and all key workers. They say that it’s also time to boost universal credit to put more cash in the pockets of millions of families.

The gathering on the Comedy Carpet (FY1 1AP) commences at 10 a.m. 19th March with a 11 a.m. start for the march to the Conservative party conference with the strap-line ‘Britain needs a pay rise!’
