St Anne’s Paddling Pool Closure Update

The Paddling Pool next to the Pier in St.Anne’s is currently closed whilst essential maintenance work is carried out. Fylde Council is repairing the pool outfall pipe and is also taking the opportunity to perform a deep clean. This work is temporary, and the Council say that the Paddling Pool will reopen as soon as possible for the enjoyment of residents and visitors. A Council spokesperson has explained that the paddling pool is an Edwardian structure and as with all heritage facilities, things occasionally break down or need repair work.

The Council has apologised for any inconvenience caused and add that there is a wonderful and free Splash Park facility a few minutes’ walk away which people can book online at http://ow.ly/Xkok50K5k9F

  1. Newly renovated paddling pool closed for essential maintenance only a few weeks after re-opening.
It is cynical to ask if the present maintenance work could have been done when the paddling pool was renovated earlier this year?
Come on Fylde Council, you have to admit, this is embarrassing.
