Woman Arrested Today On Suspicion Of Attempted Murder in Blackpool

A woman has been arrested today (Thursday 27th May, 2021) on suspicion of attempted murder after a man in his 30s was stabbed in the neck.

A spokesperson for Lancashire Constabulary said: ‘We were called to Yorkshire Street, Blackpool at 5.04am today (May 27th) to a report of an assault. Officers attended and found a man in his 30s with a stab wound to his neck inside a property on the street. He was taken to hospital for treatment, where he remains in a stable condition. A 35-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and is currently in custody. Our enquires are ongoing to establish the exact circumstances of the incident but no one else is being sought in connection with it.

Additionally, Lancashire Live have reported receiving pictures which showed a police presence along several roads in the area and blood along the pavement. Witnesses reported seeing blood on the corner of the road, at the junction with Yorkshire Street, outside the C Sider Pizza Kebab House.
