With over 300 businesses nominated and over 5,000 votes cast, the results for the 2026 Fylde Best Shop of the Year have been announced.
Well-done to Thompson & Hardwick Optometrists who topped the votes and took the overall winner spot. Located at 27 Park Street, Thompson & Hardwick have been a much valued local independent Fylde business since 1994.
Presented by Fylde MP Andrew Snowden, the business received not only a commemorative certificate but also 1960’s Mayor’s trophy, which has been brought back into use following a kind family donation.
