The Deacon Lytham CLOSED after Positive Covid-19 Case *UPDATE*

Further to our below story local establishment The Deacon has confirmed there has been a positive case of Covid-19.  They have written:

Important Notice:

We are taking the precautions and necessary steps to ensure our staff and customers are provided with accurate information to prevent any spread of Covid-19, therefore we have made the decision to temporarily close The Deacon.

If you have visited us on Wednesday 16th, Thursday 17th or Friday 18th September you may have come into contact with a person with Coronavirus and you are advised to self isolate for the remainder of 14 days and if you develop any symptoms, however mild, to arrange a test. We have also passed over all customer details collected from these dates to NHS Track and Trace to contact individually.

We’d like to assure our guests that we’ve been working diligently during the difficult and ever changing circumstances and have taken all the necessary precautions to make sure that their health and safety, and that of our staff, remains at the very forefront of all of our Covid-secure operations. This includes social distancing measures, staff PPE, frequent cleaning and sanitising and track and trace data collection. We have now arranged a deep clean of the venue and all staff have been advised to undergo Covid-19 testing.

Please note, all upcoming reservations over the next 10 days will unfortunately have to be cancelled. We are extremely sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused however we appreciate your understanding and support during this difficult time.

Popular Lytham venue The Deacon is now currently closed and not taking bookings for a minimum of 10 days.

Lytham St Annes News has been told this is for “safety measures due to the current Covid-19 situation”.
