This election also saw the re-election of Fylde MP, Mark Menzies.
Mr Menzies has represented the constituency for the Conservative Party since May 2010 and this election has given him his highest level of support, with over 60% of the vote.
In his acceptance speech, Menzies commented, ‘I thought my share of the vote at the 2017 election of 58 per cent would take some beating but to set a new high this time, with a much-increased majority is a wonderful feeling. I am grateful to all those who voted for me for their backing.’
Once MPs return to the Commons on Tuesday 17th December, Menzies will resume his seat on the government backbench.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
