From Fylde Police –
Hi folks
You may have seen reports in the local media yesterday that a man had been seen with what was described as a firearm at St Anne’s Town Hall. No threats were made during the incident but we increased police patrols in the area and following enquiries we have today arrested a 46-year-old local man on suspicion of possession of a firearm. He remains in custody at this time. A BB gun has been recovered from an address.
Chief Supt Karen Edwards, of West Police, said: “I appreciate that this incident may have caused concern in the local community but after some excellent work by our officers to trace the individual we have now arrested a man. Our enquiries are continuing.”
Great work Fylde Police!
