Megan and Marissa are believed to have headed for Blackpool.
Megan Beard, age 16, from Stamford Bridge, and her friend, Marissa Preston from Pontefract, are believed to have taken a train from Leeds to Blackpool around 1.50pm on Sunday.
Marissa has been reported missing to West Yorkshire Police, Megan has been reported missing to Humberside Police.
Inspector Steve Jones has appealed for the girls “to get in touch and let us know you’re OK”, and wants to “speak to anyone who has been in contact with the girls in the past 24 hours or can help us to find them”.
