The Met Office in its forecast for our area has said that it is going to be ‘more wintry’ this weekend as Storm Christoph moves Eastwards.  Meteorologist Craig Snell added, ‘We’re losing the rain but gaining some colder and more wintry weather too.’ Wintry showers will hit our coastline from 4.00 p.m. this evening (January 22) and persist through Saturday morning (January 23). A covering of snow could accumulate at low levels.

Residents are warned to take care and be cautious, particularly watching out for icy patches which increase the likelihood of accidents and injuries.
