Aldi Named Number One Supermarket In Which? Magazine Annual Survey.

Aldi has been named the best in-store supermarket in the country in the Which? annual survey, M&S came second,  while Waitrose, Lidl and Tesco tied for third place.

The survey is based on three criteria: value for money, store appearance and quality of produce. Harry Rose, Which? magazine editor, said: ‘Many households have felt the pinch during the pandemic and value for money was the most important factor when shopping in-store in our annual supermarket survey, which explains why Aldi came out on top.’  German discounter Aldi received a five-star rating for value for money – the only supermarket to achieve this in the Which? magazine survey.

The customer satisfaction scores were as follows:

  • Aldi 73%
  • M&S 71%
  • Lidl 67%
  • Tesco 67%
  • Waitrose 67%
  • Sainsbury’s 66%
  • Morrisons 65%
  • Iceland 64%
  • Asda 62%
  • Co-op 59%
