BREAKING NEWS FROM BRAMBLES WILDLIFE RESCUE

⚠️DO NOT TOUCH ANY BIRDS ⚠️

From Brambles Wildlife Rescue –

Public Notice
It is with great sadness we must report that today we have 2 deceased waterfowl on Stanley Park Lake. 1 x Canada Goose and 1 x Cygnet. We also have 3 others showing symptoms currently.

Although we have NOT had an official confirmed case notice of avian flu from DEFRA as, yet today’s deaths have been reported to DEFRA and we are currently in communication with Blackpool Borough Council, and it may be the case that the lake is closed to the public imminently
In the meantime, we would also advise the public not to hand-feed or have hand contact with any birds on the lake. And as always please also keep all dogs on leads and out from the water.

Regards Justin & Mel @Brambles Wildlife Rescue
