Church wall decimated after high speed Police chase last night.

Driver was alleged to have been cut out of the vehicle, after a huge Police effort to apprehend them.

St Annes Parish Church, next to Heyhouses Primary School, suffered serious damage to its wall yesterday, after a high speed car chase culminated in a collision. Several people have reported nearly being  mown down by the speeding driver before it finally crashed.

Locals have been expressing  concern for years about this being a dangerous junction.

Despite concerns that some of the graves or headstones may have suffered damage following the impact,  it looks like they are all intact – thankfully –  and the trees also appear to have escaped  harm.

We are waiting for an official update from Fylde Police with further details.
