Fylde Police Spot Large Group Of Youths Gathered By Windmill Last Night – And Issue Warning

A group of around twenty youths were gathered by Lytham Windmill last night (Tuesday 6th April, 2021) and were spotted by PCSOs on a anti-social behaviour patrol.  The PCSOs say that they youths quickly dispersed on the arrival of the police.

Reporting the incident, the Blackpool Gazette has said that PCSO Lauren Vallely, of the Fylde Neighbourhood Policing Team, has issued this warning and advice to parents and carers: ‘The youths quickly dispersed upon police arrival. This is a gentle reminder that the rule of six or two households outdoors, including a private garden, is still in place and we need to ensure this is being adhered to. If your children are out and about, please ensure you know where they are, who they are with and that they are following the current coronavirus rules which can be found on the government website.’ PCSO Vallely advised that the police team would continue to patrol hotspot areas and ‘will not hesitate’ to use powers if required.
