Throughout lockdown the public have been attempting to show their appreciation for the NHS in many ways: clapping on Thursdays and rainbows in windows.

One local little girl has took it into her own hands to earn some cash for our NHS heroes by setting up a classic lemonade stand.

On Berwick Road, Georgia Roberts, who is also St Annes’ very own Carnival Queen, has been selling lemonade for £1 a cup, with 50% of the proceedings donated to the NHS.

This lovely little entrepreneur was inspired by others on the social media platform ‘TikTok’ – where kids set up lemonade stands to make money. Instead of keeping all the money however, she wanted to donate it to the people who risk their lives daily. Drawing rainbows on windows and painting rocks just didn’t seem enough for Georgia!

The day she set up the stand she managed to raise £60! And intends to continue her business in the hope that she will make a difference in the fight against the coronavirus.

Everyone at Lytham St Annes News would like to say a big well done to Georgia, and a massive good luck! We hope our readers might pop along and buy some lemonade to help Georgia’s cause.
