TRAFFIC UPDATE FROM Preston Western Distributor Road:

We are now entering the next phase of works on the M55 where work will increase to construct the new slip roads. Therefore, additional traffic management will be in place to ensure maximum safety for all motorists and members of the PWDR Team along the new Becconsall Bridge section.

🚧A lookahead of the upcoming lane/road closures on M55 🚧:

• 18th October – 29th October (Mon – Fri) – Centre Reservation works
Westbound (M6 to Blackpool) – Lane 2 & Lane 3 closed overnight
Eastbound (Blackpool towards M6) – Lane 3 closed overnight

• 6th November & 13th November (Saturday Overnight) – Bridge works to remove temporary works safely from the new bridge
Eastbound and Westbound – Junction 1-3 Full Closure

• 8th November (Monday Overnight) – Lining Works
Eastbound – Junction 1-3 Full Closure

• 9th November (Tuesday Overnight) – Temporary VRS Installation and Lining Works
Eastbound – Lane 1 & 2 Closed
Westbound – Junction 1-3 Full Closure

• 10th November (Wednesday Overnight) – Temporary VRS Installation
Westbound – Lane 1 & 2 Closed
