The February weather may be wet, cold and windy, but Lytham’s brilliant Mode Hotel certainly provided a warm, cosy haven for our luxurious stay in the heart of Lytham.

With a family celebration on the menu, we were really looking forward to our weekend break. Taking note of first rate reviews on Trip Advisor, as well as hearing glowing recommendations from friends, we did not hesitate to book a room at this new hotel. This was indeed a great decision.

On arrival at the hotel in the heart of Lytham, a secure code was supplied to gain immediate access to our key. An intuitive system even for oldies like me! Simple. No delay. No wait at check in. We entered the bright foyer and headed straight up the well-lit stairs, making our way to our well-signposted room, 104.

On entering our room we immediately knew that we had made a first rate choice for our weekend stay. The room was extremely large and spacious. Our bed was massive – I didn’t know that they made beds so big! A large sofa bed had been carefully prepared for our son, this also looked both cosy and most comfortable. And even with these large beds, there was still so much space in our lovely room. The excellent view from the two big windows across Lytham Square was truly attractive. As you scanned the extensive view, you could even see the sea. Our spacious, bright ensuite bathroom was not only modern but also sparkling clean, complete with a large shower and top of the range toiletries.

Moreover, Mode Hotel certainly adds so much value to a stay. The large wall mounted TV had access to extra channels such as Netflix and YouTube. A coffee machine, a range of teas and even a bespoke umbrella for journeys outside are all on hand. The sparkling white pillows, duvet and towels are all top of the range and truly luxurious.

Having checked in and settled in, we were tempted to spend the evening in our wonderful room – it was so comfortable and tranquil. However, we dared to venture out, enjoying our evening in Lytham and appreciating a few drinks in venues across the town. However, we were pleased to return to our room, where we made hot drinks, watched TV and settled down for a peaceful night. There was absolutely no ambient noise from other guests and we certainly enjoyed an excellent night’s sleep in our brilliant beds.

Morning came, and bulging breakfast bags were already hanging on pegs outside our room. Yummy! A great start to the day. But sadly it was time to leave. Totally refreshed by a wonderful night’s sleep we were looking forward to a morning shopping in Lytham and a family lunch at a nearby restaurant across the square. We said our goodbyes to the friendly staff, who were not only professional, but also most courteous. They deserve praise as they certainly ensure that Mode Hotel is sparkling, spotlessly clean and welcoming.

On future visits to our family in Lytham there is no doubt that Mode Hotel will be our chosen base. Furthermore, we would confidently recommend Mode Hotel to our friends and family. We will return!
