Police Say ‘No Crime Committed’ Following Their Investigation Into Alleged Lytham St Anne’s Schoolgirl Incident

Police have said that their investigation into an incident in which a Lytham St. Anne’s schoolgirl said she was grabbed by a man in an alley has concluded that no crime was committed.

The incident had reportedly happened on Monday (12th April) around 7:45pm on Walter Avenue. An investigation was launched by the Police, who reportedly took the girl’s jacket to aid the investigation.

Lancashire Live have reported that Lancashire Constabulary officers visited the girl at her family home and subsequently have concluded that no offence has taken place. The probe has now been closed.

An updated statement from the Police released yesterday (Thursday 16th April), says: ‘Following a report of an assault on an eight-year-old girl in Lytham we have carried out an investigation and after completing our enquiries we are satisfied no crime was committed.’
