Some great ideas from our friendly local fire service 🔥❤️

Stay home, stay safe, here’s some suggestions to pass the time at home 👍😁

From Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service (official) – How to spend a wintery weekend in lockdown. Right we’ve got no choice in the matter but we do have a choice on how we let it affect us. So let’s make our lockdown weekends worth it! Here are our suggestions to while away your weekend whilst staying at home!

😴 First things first, have a lie in! You deserve it!
🎲 Zoom quizzes are out, games nights are in! Charades, escape rooms, murder mysteries. Loads of options to find online! Or just play games with your household like monopoly and jigsaw puzzles etc.
🎞 Games too competitive and likely to cause an argument? Get your boxset marathon at the ready or download Disney+ for an easy afternoon complete with blankets and hot chocolate, bliss!
🧑‍🍳Bake! But advance your skills from the first lockdowns banana bread craze! How about some vegan recipes as a nod to veganuary or make a Percy Pig cheesecake!
🎙 Send a voice note to someone. Perfect if you don’t want to intrude on someone’s day or don’t have time but a text is too impersonal. Send a voice message or sing someone a little song as a nice greeting!
🧣Wrap up and get out for some exercise nearby – remember to stay local!
🥡 Support local and get a takeaway from an independent Lancashire retailer
🧘‍♀️ There are lots of free workouts to do from home or have a nice big stretching session from all the time spent on laptops this week
💉 Lancashire needs volunteers to help roll out the vaccine. Spare some hours making history. Lancashire Volunteer Partnership
🏌️‍♂️ Make your own at home crazy golf!
💛 Do something good! Donate old coats for the homeless, send food to a local food bank or write letters to the lonely. The Trussell Trust or or have a clear out and donate clothes to The Fire Fighters Charity via banks across the county
🦁 Visit the zoo…virtually! Chester Zoo have some great things to do on their website
👩‍👦‍👦Make time for family
