The wind this weekend was truly ferocious, although the sun has finally made an appearance, it’s been a serious struggle walking down the coast.

A local dogwalker in Bispham area has shared hilarious footage of his poor little pooches struggling to keep a ‘straight face’ in the bracing breezes this Sunday.

Bracken (age 8) and her daughter doggie, Winnie (age 3) were out with their owners Gary and Liz Millington, on a little walk along the promenade in Bispham. Finding that their dogs were struggling against the wind, their little faces and ears flapping around, they just had to share it with their friends on Facebook.

Gary has told us: “Honestly I have never known wind like it at this time of year. When I took the pictures I was actually lying on the tarmac in tears of laughter, passers by must have wondered what I was doing!”

The truly hilarious content is the perfect medicine for the public during lockdown, especially with all the bad weather we seem to be having in July!

After posting the images to their Facebook pages, the response has been incredible, friends from all over have commented and shared the images claiming that it had made their day.

Gary shared the video below with the comment: “A bit like Bracken & Winnie we are literally blown away by your response to their picture. We are so glad it has brightened up some people’s day.”
