Are you waiting to take your practical or theory driving test? Sadly, learner drivers in England have learnt that they will have to be patient for at least a further seven weeks. The Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA), which is responsible for driver training and testing, has said Monday 12th April, 2021 is earliest date that both practical and theory tests can resume.
The DVSA had previously cancelled all tests booked up to and including 24th February. This announcement from the DVSA announcement extends that for at least seven more weeks.
After the previous lockdowns, thousands reported problems with the on-line booking systems, which struggled to cope with the volume of demand as so many learner drivers tried to secure an appointment. As a consequence of the pent-up demand, similar problems are expected once again as learners attempt to book their tests.
