πŸ’” Tributes pour in for the late Bobby Ball, who tragically caught coronavirus πŸ’”

Today shocking news was announced that Bobby Ball, local comedian and one half of the famous 80’s comedy act ‘Cannon & Ball’, has tragically passed away after testing positive for COVID-19. The much loved comedian was hospitalised after complaining that he was having difficulties breathing.

Locals who knew and loved Bobby, who’s real name was Robert Harper, share tributes to express their sadness of news of his tragic death. Bobby was kind soul, who brought laughter to many people’s lives.

His son, Darren Harper, shared a tribute to his Facebook:

“Heartbroken to have to say our Dad passed away last night after a tough fight with COVID. Pleasure to have been his son.. Night Dad xx”

 

Debbie Malings, a friend of Bobby Ball, and her family wrote:

“Rest in peace to the legend Bobby Ball… it was an absolute honour to have met you .. we will have great memories of you not just from our child hood but you coming into the station tavern in our reign there and been you .. a man who was funny.. loving and kind … there was never a dull moment when u were around .. even the time u pulled a few pints and took over the bar ..you would have made a cracking bar person …you will leave a big hole in so many lives…. sending all our love to Yvonne Ball and all the family.. thinking of you all … rest in peace bobby …lots of love πŸ˜ͺπŸ’”
