100 Year Old Renee Helps Seed Bomb The Public Bridleways At End Of Wildings Lane

Looking in fine form at the age of 100, Renee, from Senior Moments Care, yesterday (Thursday 23rd September) joined in with the Fylde Ranger Service, the St.Anne’s On Sea Town Council and many community volunteers to seed bomb the public bridleways at the end of Wildings Lane. Children from St Anne’s College Grammar School, Heyhouses Endowed CofE Primary School and Clifton Primary School enthusiastically joined in the most valuable learning-outside-the-classroom activity (pictured below).  MP Mark Menzies was also there (on the right hand side of featured photograph).

This seed bombing will now provide a wealth of wildflowers not only adding colour and embellishing the pathways but also providing a future haven for wildlife, attracting more bees, butterflies and other insects

Already there are poppies and cornflowers which have been springing joyfully around the pathways as this lovely photograph on social media from Barrie Russell wonderfully depicts.

The seed bombing provided a first rate learning-outside-the-classroom activity for local school children.
