More than a hundred million pounds will be distributed to struggling businesses across the Fylde coast to support them during the Covid-19 crisis.
Blackpool, Wyre and Fylde councils have all now received their funding allocations as part of the Government’s small business and retail relief grant scheme in response to the coronavirus outbreak.
Fylde Council said it had received more than seven hundred applications with its finance team working hard to ensure the money was distributed quickly. Fylde Council have stated this on their Facebook page:
‘We are working to verify and process applications before they can be paid. The first payments totalling £1.9m to 144 applicants will be made today (07.04.2020).
Successful applicants will receive an e-mail confirming payment which will take three working days to be received.
Please do not re-apply, duplicates will only cause a delay. If there is a need to check the details on an application you will receive an email.
