3 callouts on Saturday reported so far!!

The Lytham crew at HM COASTGUARD LYTHAM were tasked 3 times 👇👇

❗Emergency call out x3❗(July 17)

We were paged 3 times yesterday with our first call out coming through at 06.10 to reports of a person in the water close to Red Bank Road, as we arrived on scene we found the person in the care of Blackpool Police.

Our second call out came through at 18.09 to reports of a person in the water who appeared to be in difficulty, RNLI Blackpool relocated from a separate incident to assist, they then recovered the casualty from the water and passed them into Coastguard crews on shore, after speaking with the casualty it was determined no medical was required so they were sent away with safety advice!

Our third call out came through at 21.54 to reports of two people who were on unsteady ground, with the risk of getting stuck in the Southport area. Ourselves, HM Coastguard Southport & HM Coastguard Crosby were tasked. Fortunately Southport CRT assisted the casualties from danger before our arrival. Team stood down and returned to station.

People are urged to call 9️⃣9️⃣9️⃣ and ask for the Coastguard if you see a coastal emergency❗
