Carrying out covert operations, Blackpool Police arrested 40 year old Kelly Dawson for multiple shoplifting offences. Police charged Dawson with 13 counts of shoplifting from multiple shops and stores across the Blackpool South area.

As a consequence, Dawson of Burlington Road, Blackpool, has been sentenced to six months in prison. She has also been given a two-year Criminal Behaviour Order which bans her from entering the following stores:

• Morrisons Daily – Harrowside Road
• Dunelm Mill – Squires Gate retail park
• Tesco Express – Lytham Road
• Tesco Express – Highfield Road

Police say that on her release, anyone who sees Dawson in any of the above locations can report the breach through 101 or reporting online.

Sergeant Paul Regan said, ‘My team have worked tirelessly with local businesses, as well as our Civil Orders and ASB Prevention & Problem Solving Command team to achieve this positive outcome.

I would like to thanks local businesses for supporting us and providing us with business impact statements which were presented before the courts, which helped to secure this sentencing.’

Additionally, another Blackpool woman, Tanya Tidswell (pictured below) of Portree Road, Blackpool, was given a three-month sentence, suspended for 12 months, for varying shoplifting offences.

On Monday 22nd April the 44-year-old woman was also been given a two-year Criminal Behaviour Order which bans her from entering the 17 stores below:

7. Lidl, Anchorsholme Lane, Thornton Cleveleys

8. Coop, North Drive, Thornton Cleveleys

9. Morrisons, Amounderness Way, Thornton Cleveleys

10. Boots, Victoria Road, Thornton Cleveleys

11. Aldi, Crescent West, Thornton Cleveleys

12. Marks and Spencer, Victoria Road, Thornton Cleveleys

13. Superdrug, Victoria Road, Thornton Cleveleys

14. Home Bargains, Victoria Road, Thornton Cleveleys

15. Sainsbury’s, Talbot Road, Blackpool
