Blackpool Police busted an Audi, and much more last night👇

Good afternoon folks.
Last night (Tuesday, February 9), around 10.35pm, our officers were on patrol in Blackpool when they spotted a black Audi car in the town centre.
The vehicle was followed onto Gorton Street where it was stopped and searched under the Misuse of Drugs Act.
Officers found an estimated £50,000 in cash in the vehicle, with the driver, a 31-year-old man from Blackpool, arrested on suspicion of money laundering. He remains in custody.
A further search took place at the suspect’s address, with more cash, around £15,000, found in the property.
A money laundering and Proceeds of Crime Act investigation is now underway.
Det Insp Mark Riley, of Lancashire Police’s Economic Crime Unit, said: “The Economic Crime Unit will do all it can to deny wealth to those involved in crime.
“We will proactively and robustly target those who seek to exploit the most vulnerable in society.
“An arrest has been made and a significant amount of cash seized by police.
“Our enquiries are ongoing.”

Great result Blackpool Police 👍
