The Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, has today announced a series of measures easing the lockdown in England. From 4 July the two metre rule is to be relaxed to “one metre plus” where 2m is not possible. And a wealth of venues and places will be able to open – including hotels, pubs, libraries, hairdressers and caravan sites – but it is important to note that you can only visit them with one other household. Therefore, as trips to indoor hospitality venues should still be with one other household, social occasions like wedding receptions and birthday parties will be almost impossible to arrange. This would also apply to baptisms and Bar Mitzvahs and other life cycle events and celebrations.
