Alistre Lodge Nursing and Care Home on St Annes Road East has been rated as ‘good’ in all areas following an recent unannounced visit from two inspectors and one expert by experience from the Care Quality Commission. The report states that the residents felt safe and supported by staff, who were kind and caring. They were treated with dignity and respect and their right to privacy was upheld. Likewise, the staff said that they were well supported by the registered manager and management team, who had put in place robust procedures for recruitment and then followed this up by appropriate supervision and training
Importantly, the inspectors found that residents at Alistre Lodge were safely supported to receive their medicines as prescribed and received person-centred care which was responsive to their needs. This care and support had been planned in partnership with them and their relatives.

The Home, which at the time of inspection had thirty eight residents, was found to be good in all five categories; it is safe, effective, caring, responsive and well led. Lytham St Annes News congratulates the registered manager, Ms Carole Buckley and all the staff on this good report from the CQC.
