Early Wednesday morning, before anyone else was out and about, a local artist made his way to the beach to create some sand art for all to enjoy.

He drew a cheeky, friendly dog so like many of our joyful canine friends that bound about the vast beach, on their daily walks.

By the time he was close to completion, early morning cyclists, entering the prom cycle path, were treated to a birds eye view of the fabulous picture.

A passing cyclist remarked, “That is just brilliant! It has really cheered me up. We all need to see wonderful sights these days”

All in all, the art took around an hour to create.

The artist worked hard, using a stick and a rake and definitely showed a new way to take his daily exercise!
