APPEAL: Do you recognise this man? Blackpool Police are investigating an assault on a Tram

Do you recognise this man?

Blackpool Police want to speak to him in connection with an incident where a male in his late 60s was assaulted on a tram after taking his face mask off to talk to his mother.
The incident happened at around 8.30pm on September 4th when the victim was on the tram in Blackpool, close to Balmoral Road/Bond Street.

When he removed his face mask to talk to his mother, who is in her 90s and hard of hearing, a man came up behind him, demanded that he put his mask back on then punched him in the face. He was left with bruising around the eye.

The attacker is described as aged in his 30s, around 5ft 6in tall, of large build, wearing all black with a grey face mask. He had a shaved head with dark hair and was wearing glasses.
No arrest has been made and enquiries are ongoing.
