A sad day for St Anne’s….
It has been announced that a well loved gentleman of St Anne’s has sadly passed away, yesterday. Arnold Sumner was a champion of the St Anne’s business community, and a popular figure at many local cafes and shops through the town.
A property owner and and businessman himself, he was a highly respected and well established social figure in the community. He had links to the Town Council, Arts and Music Festivals, Victorian Festival, to name just a few examples of his influence and dedication to St. Anne’s. Tributes are pouring on on various social media sites, evidence of his work and popularity.
He has also been described as a “True Gentleman”, “Top bloke”, “Mr. St. Anne’s” and many other similar accolades. He will be sorely missed as a endless font of knowledge, of all things St.Annes related, and many people are also sending kind words and love to his family.
A true gentleman indeed, a most definitely a ‘local treasure’. Our thoughts are with his family at this sad time. ❤️
