Beach Sports For All Ages Comes To St.Anne’s Beach This Saturday

A fun-filled, light-hearted beach sports event for all ages hosted by Fylde Council in conjunction with by beach sports specialists Global Sports will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. this Saturday (18th September) just south of St Anne’s Pier.

There will be lots of opportunities to enjoy and experience a range of sports, including beach rugby and touch rugby, beach football, beach netball, and even cheerleading. Most of the children’s events will take place in the morning, with the adult’s events to follow from 1 p.m.

For on-lookers, a  BMX stunt show will also be presented three times during the day, the first at 11 a.m. and dancing will also be a feature of the day. The Rugby League World Cup will also be on display!

A spokesman for Global Beach Sports said, ‘We have developed a fun-filled, light-hearted, and memorable day packed with unique sports events, guest speakers and live entertainment. The aim is to promote health and fitness through fun sport activities, introducing students and local clubs to beach sports. After a tough year for sport, this would be a great way to celebrate and create lasting memories. We look forward to seeing you there.’
