This afternoon (Thursday 14th July) Blackpool Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) in partnership with Blackpool Trading Standards have been in the town centre tackling rogue street traders. In total five people were detained, and the counterfeit perfume seized. These individuals will be prosecuted by the Trading Standards Team.
Police say, ‘Rogue traders not only use proceeds from selling the perfume to fund organise crime but harass members of the public going about their day. Please be aware counterfeit perfume is untested and could present a public safety risk.’
