Blackpool’s New Year’s Eve Free Family Afternoon Celebration Includes Fireworks & Live Music

Blackpool is preparing to bid a fond farewell to 2023 with a free family celebration on New Year’s Eve.  The family orientated party will be presented within the Christmas By The Sea village on the Tower Festival Headland between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. on Sunday 31st December. The free celebration will include music and entertainment for children and parents, culminating in a synchronised fireworks and projection show set to music.

A highlight of the event will be performances by the acclaimed LeylandHosen Bierkeller Band, one of the UK’s best Bavarian-style groups. Dressed in full lederhosen, the eight-piece brass and drums group will perform at various intervals throughout the afternoon. The free performance is part of the wider family party with a DJ, costume characters, face-painting, circus performers, children’s rides, skating rink and food and drink cabins.

The event, which is being staged by the Blackpool Tourism Business Improvement District (TBID) in conjunction with VisitBlackpool, marks the end of a year that has seen record crowds turning out to Blackpool’s programme of free events.
