The body of a man was pulled from the sea in Blackpool last night. Emergency services say the discovery was made just off South Pier at around 7.30 p.m. yesterday evening (Wednesday 1st May). Police, paramedics, HM Coastguard, and the RNLI crew all responded to the call. A man in his 40s was pronounced dead at the scene.
Lancashire Constabulary have today (Thursday 2nd May) confirmed that the body of a man – aged in his 40s – was sadly found in the water. He was pronounced dead on the scene and his family have been informed.
There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding his death and a file will be passed to the local coroner.
