BREAKING NEWS: Boris states that ‘tougher measures’ will be announced imminently

Boris has stated that there will be “tough, tough” weeks ahead as the UK attempts to subdue to spread of the Coronavirus.

He added: “If you look at the numbers there’s no question we will have to take tougher measures and we will be announcing those in due course.”

The PM said the government “will do everything we can to keep the virus under control”, but also added: “I must stress at this critical moment it is so vital that people keep disciplined.”

Boris has acknowledged those who have been following the rules however, “I think the public have been fantastic in the way they have tried to follow the guidance,” the PM added.

The public believe that the new restrictions will include curfews (much like in dystopian future films/novels), and border closures, however nothing official has been announced as of yet.

Much to the public’s dismay, Boris cancelled the government’s plans to relax the restrictions for a 5 day period over Christmas, restricting most of the country to only 1 day with family. In addition, The PM completely cancelled Christmas for those in London and some surrounding areas as the new strain of the virus spread.

Post-Christmas as the public got ready to celebrate the new year, the government announced that large parts of the country will go IMMEDIATELY into Tier 4 along with London, meaning all essential shops would close.

The measures, similar in many ways to England’s previous lockdowns, have been extended to 75% of the country.
