It has been revealed that the highest number of positive covid cases have been recorded over the last 24 hours, with an enormous 33,470.

On Wednesday 22,950 people tested positive for covid-19, with the number of the UK deaths since the start of the pandemic earlier this year has surpassed 50,000. Yesterday a further 595 deaths were announced, this is the highest since 12th May, bringing the UK’s total to 50,365.

The UK now has the highest number of recorded deaths in the European Union.
