Autumnal weather is on the way for Lytham St. Anne’s as an Atlantic storm sees the end of our ‘Indian Summer’ with rain and icy winds hitting our coast from Tuesday. Batten down the hatches, as Storm Aiden, Britain’s first named storm of the autumn, brings with it 65mph gusts.
And get the central heating on stand-by as Polar air is also expected to follow, with temperatures plummeting as low as 8C on Thursday night as shown by the weather maps below, with perceived conditions as low as 3C because of the icy winds and air temperature.
This was confirmed by Paul Michaelwaite, Netweather Meteorologist, who warned that ‘Autumn proper’ is on the way from this coming Tuesday.
